Inter Milan icon Wesley Sneijder has publicly predicted that Kylian Mbappé will secure the 2026 Ballon d’Or following his transfer to Real Madrid.
The 41-year-old former Dutch international, speaking to Marca, is confident that the current points system favors the French star for the prestigious individual accolade next year.
Sneijder explained his rationale, stating, “I maintain that with the current points system, I’m almost certain Mbappé will win the trophy next season, 100 per cent.”
He further praised Mbappé’s evolution, noting, “He’s become a true striker – he’s more effective than when he played on the wing, and Real Madrid doesn’t need a player like Haaland.
“Sneijder concluded by mentioning Mbappé’s teammate, adding, “As for Vinicius, he might win it the following year. Both of them have the potential.”
