Legendary former Arsenal manager, Arsène Wenger, is confidently predicting his old club will be crowned Premier League champions this season.
Despite a recent dip in form that has seen The Gunners’ lead shrink they are now just two points ahead of Manchester City and three points clear of the surging Aston Villa Wenger remains steadfast.
When asked for his prediction, he told AFTV, “No, Arsenal will win the league. Why do you ask? We will win the league.”
Even with injuries mounting and City looming, Wenger expressed strong conviction in manager Mikel Arteta’s side: “I’m honestly very confident, maybe it’s because I’m not involved. I am very confident we will win.”
