Arsenal legend Alan Smith believes the Premier League title race has shifted back into Manchester City’s favor following the Gunners’ stunning 2-2 collapse against bottom-of-the-table Wolves.
Despite a 2-0 halftime lead—fueled by goals from Bukayo Saka and Piero Hincapié—Mikel Arteta’s side crumbled in the second half.
Smith didn’t hold back, specifically blaming Leandro Trossard and David Raya for the dropped points.
He criticized Trossard for unnecessary time-wasting and slammed Raya’s “nervous” decision-making, which led to a late collision with Gabriel and Tom Edozie’s dramatic equalizer.
“It feels like a crucial turning point,” Smith told Sky Sports, suggesting that the pressure of the title race is finally starting to crack the Arsenal camp.
