Former Nigerian international Sunday Oliseh has pulled back the curtain on his turbulent tenure as the Super Eagles head coach.
Speaking on his YouTube podcast, Global Football Insights, the ex-Juventus star revealed that his mission was hampered by a startling lack of basic resources.
Oliseh recounted instances where training sessions had to be delayed simply because the team lacked a second set of kits. “We had to wait for the morning gear to dry after it was washed before we could head back out,” he explained.
He expressed disbelief that a football powerhouse like Nigeria struggled with basic equipment and sponsorship.
Despite these logistical nightmares, Oliseh maintained a solid record, losing only two of his 14 matches before his departure in early 2016.
