Manchester United icon Wayne Rooney has weighed in on the Premier League title race, coming to the defense of Arsenal amid recent criticism.
Speaking on his BBC podcast, Rooney labeled the negative commentary surrounding the Gunners’ performance and set-piece tactics as “very unfair.”
While Arsenal currently holds a seven-point lead, Rooney cautioned that the race is far from over. He insisted that Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City remains a serious threat, stating they are “well within” reach of the trophy.
Despite Mikel Arteta’s progress, Arsenal is still chasing their first title under his leadership, while City looks to add to their established dominance.
