England international Marcus Rashford has revealed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was the only manager he truly enjoyed playing for during his time at Manchester United. The 27-year-old, who is currently on loan at Barcelona after spending last season at Aston Villa, made his move away from Old Trafford after being excluded from the plans of current United boss Ruben Amorim.
Reflecting on his career with the Red Devils, Rashford played under five permanent managers Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Erik ten Hag, and Ruben Amorim as well as interim coaches Michael Carrick, Ralf Rangnick, and Ruud van Nistelrooy, with mixed results. However, the forward stated his most consistent and enjoyable spell was under the Norwegian manager, during which he netted 43 goals across two seasons.
In an interview with TV 2, Rashford said:“Ole is a fantastic person. I loved playing under him. I can speak for many of the players at Manchester United when I say that we enjoyed playing for him. We played good football under Ole.”
