Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has expressed his disappointment following Chelsea’s decision to sack Enzo Maresca after just six months.
Despite Maresca securing both the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Conference League, a poor December run leaving Chelsea 15 points adrift of leaders Arsenal led to his exit.
Addressing the media before this weekend’s match against Chelsea, Guardiola lamented the loss: “Chelsea have lost an incredible manager and an incredible person,” he stated, while acknowledging the decision ultimately rested with the club’s hierarchy.
