Transfer rumors linking Victor Osimhen to Real Madrid have intensified following comments from former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh.
Oliseh, speaking on the Insight Podcast, revealed that the LaLiga powerhouse is “closely monitoring” the Nigerian striker who moved to Galatasaray from Napoli in 2025 for a significant summer transfer.
The potential move is reportedly tied to the future of Vinícius Júnior, with Osimhen seen as a central striker replacement.
According to Oliseh, freeing up the left-wing position would allow the club to slot in Kylian Mbappé, making them “comfortable with letting the Brazilian leave.”
“There’s a lot of talk under the ground about the possibility of Osimhen being a candidate,” Oliseh stated, adding that this information came from a “top personality.”
The move would be a landmark achievement, making Osimhen the first Nigerian-born player to represent Real Madrid’s first team.
