Pedro Neto etched his name into the record books on Friday night, netting a clinical hat-trick in Chelsea’s 4–0 dismantling of Hull City.
Alongside a strike from Estêvão Willian, Neto’s heroics secured the Blues’ spot in the FA Cup Round of 16.
The 25-year-old Portuguese international has been a revelation since his 2024 move from Wolves, and his latest performance saw him break two long-standing records.
According to OptaJoe, Neto is the first Chelsea player to score a Friday hat-trick since George Hilsdon in 1909. Furthermore, he became the first top-flight player in history to score a treble on Friday the 13th.
Neto now turns his focus back to the Premier League as Liam Rosenior’s side prepares to face Burnley.
