Arsenal and Barcelona legend Thierry Henry has heaped praise on the Catalan giants following their dominant 7-2 victory over Newcastle United in the Champions League Round of 16.
After a tense 1-1 draw in the first leg, Barcelona exploded in the second half at the Camp Nou to secure an 8-3 aggregate win and a spot in the quarter-finals.
Despite Newcastle fighting back twice in the first half, a Lamine Yamal penalty sent Barça into the break with a 3-2 lead.
The second half, however, was a one-sided affair as the Catalans netted five unanswered goals. Speaking to SPORT, Henry described the performance as a “global earthquake” and likened the current squad to the iconic era of Johan Cruyff.
