Former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher offered an apology to Mohamed Salah after facing scrutiny for calling the attacker a “disgrace.”
Carragher’s initial criticism included a suggestion that Salah was aiming to force the dismissal of manager Arne Slot.
The apology was made public during CBS Sports’ Champions League coverage when Carragher stated, “Mo, I apologise for upsetting you. I love you as the Liverpool player, but you need to behave yourself off the pitch.”
Salah was omitted from the Liverpool roster for the 1-0 Champions League victory over Inter Milan, an absence that followed a controversial interview in which he criticised the team and the new manager.
