Former Super Eagles forward Odion Ighalo has weighed in on the distinct playing styles of Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams following Nigeria’s dominant 4-0 victory over Mozambique.
While both strikers were instrumental in the Round of 16 win, Ighalo noted that their profiles are quite different.
Speaking as an analyst on SuperSport, the former Manchester United man explained that while not all strikers rely on pace, Osimhen’s game is built on physical intensity.
“Victor is a different kind of striker to Akor,” Ighalo remarked. He described Osimhen as a player who thrives on “bullying” defenders, fighting for possession, and taking every available opportunity to shoot.
