Musa’s absence from Nigeria’s recent Africa Cup of Nations runner-up campaign and lack of club affiliation sparked speculation about his future with the national team.
However, in a statement after a friendly match, Musa clarified: “I simply needed a brief break from the national team”. There’s no question of me leaving the team.”
