Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is set to serve a two-game touchline suspension after receiving his sixth yellow card of the season during Saturday’s FA Cup tie at Newcastle United.
The booking followed a heated exchange with fourth official Lewis Smith and a sarcastic reaction to Omar Marmoush’s goal.
While Guardiola will miss the upcoming Premier League fixture against West Ham and the FA Cup quarter-final in April, the ban does not extend to knockout finals or European competition.
He remains eligible to lead the team from the dugout for the Champions League tie against Real Madrid and the Carabao Cup final on March 22.
