Gary Lineker has hit out at a controversial VAR decision that denied Victor Osimhen a goal in Galatasaray’s 1-0 Champions League win over Liverpool.
Although Osimhen capitalised on a defensive error by Ibrahima Konaté to score, the goal was overturned.
Officials ruled that Barış Alper Yılmaz was offside and interfering with play, a decision Lineker slammed as “terrible” on The Rest Is Football podcast, insisting he had reviewed the replay dozens of times without seeing any legitimate impact.
