Although eligible for the Super Eagles through his parents, the 22-year-old Borussia Dortmund star was born in Austria, and their FA is currently pushing for a deal to secure him ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Having only played for England at the youth level, he remains eligible for a FIFA nationality switch.
