Rivers State throws its weight behind Finidi George!
The state government, through Sports Commissioner Chris Green, expressed full confidence in the newly appointed head coach of Rivers United.
Green emphasized their expectations for “the best results” from Finidi, a legendary figure in Nigerian football.
This appointment follows the dismissal of Stanley Eguma after last season’s struggles. Green highlighted Finidi’s impressive pedigree, including his role in Nigeria’s 1994 Africa Cup of Nations victory.
“We’re excited to have him back home,” Green declared. “Discipline is key, and we expect nothing but the best from him. This is a new chapter for Rivers United.”
