Deeney: Arsenal Better Fit for Solanke Than Tottenham
Former Watford striker Troy Deeney has weighed in on the potential transfer of Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke, suggesting that Arsenal would be a better destination for the forward than Tottenham Hotspur.
Solanke enjoyed a standout season with Bournemouth, netting 19 goals in the Premier League. His impressive form has attracted interest from several top-flight clubs, including Tottenham, who are in the market for a new striker following Harry Kane’s departure.
However, Deeney believes Solanke’s playing style would be better suited to Arsenal’s system. The Watford legend suggested that Tottenham should consider Brentford’s Ivan Toney as a more suitable option if they are willing to spend a reported £65 million on a striker.
