Arsenal’s stellar start to the seasonwhich sees them top of the Premier League after recent wins is partially due to a summer coaching shake-up, according to goalkeeper David Raya.
Since Gabriel Heinze joined the coaching staff at the Emirates, Raya says things have “been different.” The Gunners have been remarkably solid, conceding just three goals in their ten league matches.
Raya specifically praised the impact of the former Manchester United title-winner:”He [Heinze] is a guy… where he wants us to fight – a lot of intensity… You have to be very, very, very solid to be able to win games.
Normally, the games are won by one goal.”Mikel Arteta’s side currently leads the division, bouncing back from their only league defeat (to Liverpool) and one draw (with Manchester City) to record four consecutive Premier League victories.
Arsenal’s next test will be an away trip to face Slavia Prague in the Champions League on Tuesday.
