Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones has shared that Mohamed Salah issued an apology to the squad following his recent controversial comments.
In a previous interview, Salah had criticised the club’s management, claimed he was being “thrown under the bus,” and suggested a rift existed between him and manager Arne Slot.
The fallout briefly saw the Egyptian forward dropped from the matchday squad, though he has since returned to help the team in their victory over Brighton. Jones, speaking to Sky Sports, praised Salah’s character: “Mo is his own man… He apologised to us and said, ‘If I’ve affected anybody or made you feel any sort of way, I apologise.’ That’s just the kind of man he is.”Salah is currently away on international duty, representing Egypt at the 2025 AFCON in Morocco
