Italian journalist Fabio Caressa has publicly criticized Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman following his visibly frustrated reaction to being substituted during the team’s 1-0 UEFA Champions League victory over Olympique Marseille.
Lookman showed clear anger when manager Ivan Juric replaced him with Yunus Musah in the second half. The Nigerian international even exchanged heated words with Juric, requiring intervention from teammates and staff to calm the situation.
Caressa condemned Lookman’s behavior, arguing that the player consistently appears “angry and aggressive.”
“I want to say a word about Lookman: after the summer we had, after you returned, always appearing so angry and aggressive doesn’t do anyone any good, not even him,” Caressa stated, as quoted by Chiamarsibomber.
“In my opinion, it’s not the right attitude towards the club that pays you; he continues to have an unprofessional attitude.”
