Aston Villa have initiated transfer talks for Fiorentina’s young right-back, Michael Kayode, according to Italian transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla.
The Villans submitted an opening bid of around €15 million plus add-ons, but Fiorentina are reportedly holding out for a fee closer to €20 million with additional bonuses.
Negotiations are expected to continue, with Aston Villa likely to submit a revised offer in the near future.
The 19-year-old Kayode impressed in his debut season with Fiorentina, contributing with a goal and four assists in 37 appearances across all competitions for the Serie A side in the 2023/24 campaign.
