Uganda’s head coach, Paul Put, has admitted that his team faces a daunting task in their upcoming clash against Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
Following a 3-1 loss to Tunisia and a 1-1 draw with Tanzania, the Cranes find themselves in a “must-win” situation to keep their Round of 16 hopes alive.
While Nigeria has already secured a spot in the knockout stages, Put warns that the challenge remains immense. “I’ve told the players to keep fighting until the end,” Put remarked.
“We need to reset and prepare; it won’t be easy.” Even with Nigeria’s coach, Éric Chelle, likely to rotate his squad, the Cranes face an uphill battle to progress.
