Sevilla striker Akor Adams remains optimistic that his side can secure a surprise result against league leaders Barcelona this Sunday.
Despite Sevilla’s two-decade-long winless streak in LaLiga matches at the Camp Nou, Adams draws confidence from their dominant 4-1 victory over the Blaugrana back in October—a match in which he found the back of the net.
Speaking to Marca, the 25-year-old Nigerian international acknowledged the quality of the opposition but remained focused on the unpredictability of football.
“We know they are the leaders and have an incredible group, but we are going there knowing anything is possible in 90 minutes,” Adams stated.
Having already tallied seven goals and three assists this season, Adams is determined to play a key role in Sevilla’s mission to break their historic drought.
