Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard has pinpointed the reason behind his former club’s Tuesday night loss at Molineux.
Speaking on TNT Sport, Gerrard labeled the performance “desperate” for the first 65 minutes, citing a lack of tempo and quality.
Despite a goal from Mohamed Salah, the Reds failed to secure a point, a result that drops the defending champions to fifth in the Premier League.
Gerrard noted that Arne Slot’s side simply didn’t create the necessary chances to win. The two sides are set for a quick rematch this Friday in the FA Cup.
