Barcelona’s Raphinha has matched a significant El Clasico milestone previously held by Cristiano Ronaldo following Barcelona’s victory over Real Madrid earlier this week.
While Ronaldo enjoyed a legendary career at Real Madrid, he often struggled against the Catalan giants, securing only eight wins in 30 appearances.
In stark contrast, the Brazilian winger has reached that same eight-win mark in just 12 games.
Since joining Barcelona from Leeds United for €58 million in 2022—notably rejecting Chelsea and Arsenal in the process—Raphinha has been lethal against Los Blancos.
His statistical output against Real Madrid includes seven goals and three assists, with five of those goals coming in just the last four meetings.
Most recently, he netted twice during the Spanish Super Cup final in Saudi Arabia.Though Ronaldo remains a prolific scorer in the fixture with 18 goals, his overall record includes 14 losses and only three assists.
Raphinha now has the opportunity to surpass Ronaldo’s win total when the two sides meet again at the Camp Nou this May.
