Manchester United has secured a verbal agreement with Michael Carrick to lead the team on an interim basis.
Reporting on X, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Carrick has accepted the club’s contract conditions and the deal should be sealed within the week.
Carrick, who was preferred over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, replaces the recently sacked Ruben Amorim.
His first test comes immediately this Saturday in the early kick-off against Manchester City.
