Former Super Eagles striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni has lauded Alex Iwobi and Samuel Chukwueze following Nigeria’s 2-1 win over Tanzania’s Taifa Stars.
Speaking to News Central TV, “The Yak” identified the duo as the standout performers in the encounter.
Aiyegbeni highlighted their ability to unlock the defense, noting that while they created several opportunities for Victor Osimhen, the team still requires more consistency in midfield creativity.
Iwobi, who recently became Nigeria’s most-capped active player with 92 appearances, provided the assist for Semi Ajayi’s opener.
Meanwhile, Chukwueze was a constant threat before being substituted for Moses Simon in the 59th minute.
