Barcelona will be without forward Raphinha for the season’s first El Clásico against Real Madrid on Sunday due to a hamstring injury setback.
The 28-year-old Brazilian, who hasn’t played since September 25, had only just returned to training this week and was expected to feature on the substitutes’ bench at the Bernabéu. However, according to ESPN, he experienced discomfort during Friday’s training, delaying his return.
It may be a few more weeks before he is back in action. The rivalry kicks off with Madrid holding a two-point lead over Barcelona. Interestingly, the Catalans swept all four fixtures against Madrid last season.
