Spain manager Luis de la Fuente has expressed high praise for two of his key players following a convincing 3-0 friendly victory against Serbia on Friday.
A clinical brace from Mikel Oyarzabal and a strike from Victor Muñoz secured the win for La Roja.
In his post-match interview, De la Fuente was quick to highlight the contributions of Oyarzabal and goalkeeper Unai Simón, labeling both as top-tier talents.
“Oyarzabal is a world-class player. He can do everything,” De la Fuente remarked, even suggesting a future on the sidelines for the forward: “He can also become a top coach one day.”
The manager also took the opportunity to defend his #1 between the posts. “People should not doubt a top goalkeeper like Unai Simón,” he added. “His quality, his skills, his career, his professionalism… I fully trust him.”
