Napoli striker Rasmus Højlund has aimed a pointed remark at Manchester United, claiming he has finally rediscovered his happiness with the reigning Serie A champions.
The 23-year-old, who moved to Naples on loan last year following a difficult stint at Old Trafford, admitted his performance in England fell short of expectations.
However, speaking to TV2, the Denmark international insisted he has turned a corner in Italy.“If we look at the recent periods at Manchester United, I didn’t perform well.
I’m aware of that, but now many things have changed,” Højlund stated.Addressing his critics back home, he added: “They even said I was finished in Denmark, but I never gave up. At Napoli, I feel joy again.”
