REVEALED: Carrick rescued Man Utd pal Pogba from another Mourinho clash

Apr 20, 2018 06:02:31
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba again tested the patience of manager Jose Mourinho on Wednesday night.

Despite his impressive performance for victory at Bournemouth, Pogba left Mourinho frustrated with his behaviour.

The Mirror says Pogba was substituted with 10 minutes remaining, shaking hands with Michael Carrick and Rui Faria. Mourinho applauded Pogba as he left the field, but didn't offer his hand, barely acknowledging Pogba directly.

There was no eye contact between manager and player, with Pogba then making his way towards the tunnel, despite Mourinho gesturing towards the seats behind him on the bench.

As Pogba headed down the tunnel, he was soon called back by coach-to-be Carrick as Mourinho sat there unmoved; Pogba returned and took his seat on the bench for the remainder of the match.
